I do use a light 12 string set (.008-.42) on all my 12s, so this might aid in the guitar's returning to pitch on the Vox guitars with the whammy, but it sounds like your 12 needs some adjustments if it's going out of tune after one song. I don't have much of a problem staying in tune. I use a cherry red Vox 12 for some things. I own two of the non-gizmo loaded Vox 12 string guitars, with whammy bars, as well as a Rick 381/12. I'm just glad someone has good luck with a 12 string. That being said, I'd like to meet your tech. My mention of whammy on a 12 was directed at the gizmo laden guitars from VOX in the mid to late 60s. ![]() After one song on a 12, it (the tuning) needs to be tweaked a little. ![]() Each one is set up with great action, straight neck etc. I must also qualify this with the the fact that I own 2 electric 12s and an acoustic 12. I want to think you are kidding, but I never heard of a 12string staying in tune, even with a solid bridge.
